Privacy Policy
Last updated: 4 August 2026
This policy explains what information AusPathway collects when you use our points calculator and guidance tools, how that information is used, and the choices available to you.
1. Information We Collect
Assessment inputs. Everything you enter into the assessment wizard — age, qualifications, English level, work experience, partner and dependant details, and occupation — is processed entirely in your browser. These inputs are calculated client-side and are not transmitted to, or stored on, our servers. Closing or refreshing the page clears them.
PDF reports. Downloadable assessment reports are generated locally in your browser and saved directly to your device. We never receive a copy.
Technical data. Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically logs standard request data such as IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamp for security and reliability purposes.
2. Cookies & Google AdSense
AusPathway may display advertising supplied by Google and other third parties. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies (including the DART cookie) enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Doing so does not affect the operation of the points calculator, which runs entirely on your device.
3. Analytics
We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand aggregate usage — for example, how many people complete an assessment or which occupation pages are most visited. Analytics data is aggregated and is not used to identify individual users, and is never combined with the answers you enter into the calculator.
4. Data Security
Because assessment answers never leave your browser, the most sensitive information you provide is not exposed to transmission or storage risk. The site is served over HTTPS, and access to our hosting infrastructure is restricted to authorised administrators. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security of technical log data.
5. Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict processing of personal information we hold, and to object to certain processing or lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Australia, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner).
Because we do not store your assessment data, most requests will relate to advertising or analytics identifiers, which you can control through your browser and Google's ad settings.
6. Children's Privacy
AusPathway is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy as our tools or legal obligations change. The revision date at the top of this page always reflects the current version.
